"It may not be intentional, but the SBA [Singapore Broadcasting Authority: LW] is suggesting that it’s okay if Singaporeans say ‘‘‘Yo, bro’, wassup, man? Just chilin’, ya know what I’m sayin’?’’ but cannot say,‘Arbuthen?’ . . .
Why is it okay for the Friends on TV to say, ‘As if!’
but we cannot say, ‘Like real!’"

So you all know how I feel about Singlish right?
I love.
I was reading on rules in English where some people say that it's not good English if you end a sentence with a preposition (to, up, under, you know, words that point to somewhere) and Winston Churchill was a staunch supporter of that kind of English.
Then people asked, how the hell would you say these sentences?!
"What is the world coming to"
"This bed hasn't been slept in."
And he responded with this
"This is the sort of English up with which I will not put."
OH CLASSIC.
haha i can just imagine him saying what is the world to coming?! and this bed hasn't been in-slept!
give up? Up give!
