ode to a friend.

i used to have a friend.
i thought we had something great going.

somewhere along the way walls sprouted up and misunderstandings arose.
we're almost like strangers now.

i think about the glorious days where i used to have dinner with my friend every other week and compare it to these days.
i've only had dinner with my friend once.

she won't say it, she never does say anything.
but i guess i know.

you and i, we're somewhere near over.

and so it goes.

friends come and friends go. some leave a mark on you and some don't even leave so much as a hair. but we all know that pain fades away and new friends will come one day and slowly, we'll turn into hi-bye friends because maybe, somehow you don't need me anymore.

or perhaps one day you'll come back.


i've lost so many now,
i wish i had friends that would stay.
